2. Get cosmetic treatments

If you’re unhappy with your appearance and believe you’re aging quickly, you could consider cosmetic treatments to slow down the process and retain your youthful looks.

3. Stay connected

Many of us struggle with getting enough sleep each night – particularly those who suffer from insomnia. However, research has discovered that lack of sleep is directly linked to aging.

While asleep, the body releases the hormone cortisol, which breaks down collagen and goes through a cell renewal process that helps keep the skin elasticated and smooth.

Trying a new bedtime routine, such as setting regular hours and limiting screen time in the late evenings, would be worthwhile if you struggle with nodding off to sleep.

Interestingly, evidence also suggests that our sleep position may even affect the speed of aging. Lying on our face is shown to compress certain areas of the facial skin, which creates new wrinkles and may incur long-term damage.
