The boss, Bruce Springsteen, is returning to Broadway.
Bruce Springsteen to resuscitate his Broadway show and audiences to be vaccinated to rock
Springsteen on Broadway, Bruce Springsteen’s solo show, will return later this month.
However, according to Jujamcyn Theaters, who will be hosting the revival at his St. Hames Theater, if you wish to be in the audience and get a seat, you will have to get vaccinated fully.
In a statement, Springsteen said:
“I loved doing ‘Springsteen on Broadway and I’m thrilled to have been asked to reprise the show as part of the reopening of Broadway.”
This production will be the first since the COVID-19 pandemic to play the Great White Way.
More than a year ago, many performances and theatres were shut down because of the pandemic. Various shows are announcing the dates that they will be reopening, and most of them are for late summer. Between 2017 and 2018, around 236″ Springsteen on Broadway” performances were played, which got Springsteen the Special Tony Award.
In this story, Bruce Springsteen lets everyone know about his life with songs in between, all from Born to Run, his 2016 autobiography.
However, all people attending will have to get fully vaccinated. This means that it has to have been 14 days since that person got their vaccine, or first if they got the Johnson & Johnson one.
Children aged 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult who has gotten fully vaccinated and shows proof that they tested negative for COVID-19. According to Jujamcyn, the ventilation system of the theatre will be upgraded, and the staff will follow a very comprehensive cleaning and sanitation process.
However, Jujamcyn has yet to state whether the audience will have to wear masks and keep their distance or not and if they will keep the seats limited or sell all. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed that people who are fully vaccinated can gather indoors without wearing masks or practicing social distancing.
During the first two few months of 2023, Springsteen spent time riffing with the previous president, Barack Obama, on “Renegades: Born in the USA,” their podcast on Spotify. Springsteen on Broadway tickets will go on sale at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday. They range from $75 to $850.
