La Jolla’s leopard sharks hatching season

The most significant grouping of leopard sharks occurs annually in La Jolla. These beautiful animals converge on the shores near the Marine Room restaurant during the day but depart to forage for food in the nearby submarine canyon at night. Though skittish, they seem to enjoy sharing the ocean with beachgoers. The peak number occurs during July and August.

Valley of Fire State Park

You will never run out of things to do at Valley of Fire State Park. The park has 14 points of interest to keep you occupied while on vacation. First, the red sandstone in this desert is part of the Jurassic period and is a remnant of evolution. A travelers who visited the park in the 1920s attributed the park’s name to a sandstone formation.
